ODS PH-RUK

THE PH-RUK IS OUR NEWEST PRODUCT AND CONTINUES OUR BRANCHING OUT INTO THE RUGER AMERICAN BOLT ACTION RIFLE!

Due to lack of availability of ANY iron sight for the Ruger American rifle, we've decided to develop our own so you can have the best quality iron site to pair with our RUK AK magwell!

The ODS PH-RUK site set utilizes our standard PH-2 Rear site with the variable diopter sights common on AR style rifles, and paired with our New Ruger American Clamp-on (optionaly Pinable) Site tower made of 4140 steel, parkerized and serrated to matintain 0 reflectivity!

The front sight post in the PH-RUKs front tower is a standard AR-15, enabling the use of aftermarket tritium sights or smaller posts for more presice shooting.  The standard post allows for elevation from 0 to 400+ yards with most 7.62X39 ammo and we will be selling a long range sight post height (or trim the factory one down a bit) for those wishing to zero at longer distances. The default height works great for most users desiring to zero 25-150 yards and the front AK style protector wings provide super quick snap shooting at 25 yards!

The rear peep has windage adjustment and 3 diopters (aperture sizes) plus a battle notch, that range from CQB to 100 meters and beyond. 

A hidden feature of peep sights is that the rear aperture doubles as a pinhole camera.  This has the effect of magnifying and focusing objects at distance as if you were using a magnifier.  This is the same effect that is used by folks with poor vision when they make a tiny hole in their fist to see through.

The rear sight aperture is 0.655" from the top of the pic rail.

The rear peep is 1913 / NATO compatible. They cowitness at 50% with an Aimpoint Micro (or clone) on an ARMS #31 mount.  an MRO on a Midwest Industries cantilever mount will cowitness lower 1/3 with the PH-1.

The ODS PH-RUKs are machined by OCCAM DEFENSE in North Idaho.  The rear body is 6061 Aluminum with a true Mil-Spec blasted and type III hardcoat anodization.  The steel parts will be either nitrided or parkerized.  All parts are made in 'Merica, making this a 100% US made product!
